What is a Notary Public?

A notary public is an official who is authorized by the secretary of state to perform specific services, most often for the legal, business, financial, and real estate communities. These services include acting as an impartial witness to the signing of one or more documents to which the identity of the signer(s) has been verified. The notarization of documents by the notary are meant to deter fraud, and to ensure that the documents' purpose is executed properly. To simplify, a notary public is "a public officer who attests to or certifies writings (such as a property deed), insuring legal authenticity".

What is a Loan Signing Agent?

A loan signing agent is an impartial third party contracted by a mortgage lender, escrow, or title company to witness the signing of important real estate loan documents by owners, buyers and sellers involved in real property transactions. These property transactions including purchases, refinances, and home equity lines of credit among other real estate transactions. Because certain documents within loan documents must be notarized (such as a deed of trust and various affidavits), a loan signing agent must also be a notary public commissioned in the state their notarization's are performed.

What is a Process Server?

A process server is a third party contracted by a legal practice, court, state department, or administrative body for the delivery of such documents for the purpose of providing notice of initial legal action to a party involved in a lawsuit in an effort to exercise jurisdiction. At this time, Luxe Mobile Notary, LLC only provides this services to Legal practices and other business entities who require delivery to other business entities (i.e. insurance providers and the like). I do not provide delivery to individuals of the general public.
