As a notary, I strive to demonstrate professionalism, tact, and empathy along with attention to detail and a genuine love of people. It is expressly understood that a notary is to be impartial regarding loan documents but also educated. I walk through each documents' more crucial details, making sure the signers are both comfortable and knowledgeable of what is being established and their responsibility in the transaction. I am also careful to insure that all forms and otherwise empty documentation is fully completed and never hesitate to ask questions when something is unsure, never taking the position of assumption.

Knowledge:

I know that a missed signature, initial, or stamp could result in a rate lock, a delay funding that inconveniences' the client, or over-all general headaches for all parties involved. For this reason I make sure not to miss the top line signature on the 1003, the signatory box on the Tax Transcript Request form, and know that the best practice is to have the clients sign exactly how their name appears on the signature lines. Each detail is important and I make it a point to double and triple check completed work to avoid such mishaps.
